Chris Duren brings 27 years of litigation experience to Pemberton Personal Injury, including first-chair jury trials at both the state and federal levels. A UW-Madison graduate and Cumberland Law School alumnus, Chris spent nearly three decades running his own practice in Waunakee, earning the Best Attorney in Waunakee award from 2020 through 2023 and the 40 Under 40 recognition from In Business magazine. After years of handling everything from criminal defense to family law, Chris closed his general practice to focus exclusively on his true passion: fighting for personal injury clients across Wisconsin.
Chris obtained his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Behavioral Science and Law at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and continued on to obtain his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Cumberland Law School, Samford University in 1997, where he was a member of the National Trial Team.
After law school, Chris returned to his hometown of Waunakee, Wisconsin, and started his solo law practice focusing on trial litigation, including personal injury cases, for 27 years. This civil and criminal litigation experience included first-chair jury trials at both the State and Federal levels. When not litigating cases, Chris helped his clients with their family law, business, real estate, and estate planning legal needs. In his free time, he enjoys spending time at his family’s farm in Cazenovia, Wisconsin, adding another country to his international travel, cooking recipes learned at a Chicago cooking school, being a World War II history buff, and spending time with his grandchildren.
