Athenamarie is a personal injury attorney dedicated to helping injured individuals and families pursue justice after serious accidents, negligence, and wrongful death. Born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Illinois, she earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Eastern Illinois University and her Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law.
Before joining Pemberton Personal Injury Law Firm, Athenamarie spent years as a healthcare defense attorney in Chicago, where she concentrated on nursing home abuse, neglect, and wrongful death cases. She was also one of two attorneys chosen to lead a successful risk management team focused on analyzing pre-suit matters. That experience gives her a deep understanding of how injury claims are evaluated, challenged, and defended.
Now representing plaintiffs, Athenamarie uses her background to help personal injury clients navigate difficult times with confidence, clarity, and empathy. Her experience in both personal injury law and healthcare defense allows her to build strong cases and advocate for those harmed by negligence.
Outside the office, Athenamarie enjoys traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her loved ones, including her husband and two dogs.
