About Chris Duren

Chris obtained his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Behavioral Science and Law at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and continued on to obtain his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Cumberland Law School, Samford University in 1997, where he was a member of the National Trial Team.

After law school, Chris returned to his hometown of Waunakee, Wisconsin, and started his solo law practice focusing on trial litigation, including personal injury cases, for 27 years. This civil and criminal litigation experience included first-chair jury trials at both the State and Federal levels. When not litigating cases, Chris helped his clients with their family law, business, real estate, and estate planning legal needs. This diverse law practice experience of helping a wide range of clients in every type of legal situation has provided him with the background and skills necessary for a successful career in personal injury litigation.

Besides receiving the 40 Under 40 award from In Business magazine, Chris was awarded Best Attorney in Waunakee from 2020 through 2023. With his general law practice closed, Chris is now able to focus exclusively on his true passion of personal injury law and helping his clients seek justice for their injuries.

When Not in the Courtroom

Chris lives in Waunakee with his wife, learning to be an “empty nester” with all three of their children moved on. In his free time, he enjoys spending time at his family’s farm in Cazenovia, Wisconsin, adding another country to his international travel, cooking recipes learned at a Chicago cooking school, being a World War II history buff, and spending time with his grandchildren.
